Gupshup acquired DI-backed Active.Ai, the Leading Conversational AI Platform for Banks and Fintech Companies

In June 2022, Gupshup, an US unicorn and a global leader in conversational engagement, completed the acquisition of Active.Ai, a Dream Incubator (DI)’s investee and the leading Conversational AI platform used by banks and Fintech firms.  

Headquartered in Singapore, Active.Ai serves BFSI customers across 43 countries with a Conversational Banking as a Service (CBaaS) platform that helps clients engage with millions of consumers every month.  

DI invested in the company in 2017 with Kalaari Capital, Vertex Ventures, Chiratae Ventures and others, and, since then DI made strategic introductions of Japanese fintech companies and potential business partners to Active.ai in its five-year long fruitful association. DI fully exited with positive returns from this acquisition.
