DI does follow-on investment in Turtlemint $30 Mn Series D funding round led by GGV capital

Mumbai-based online leading insurtech startup Turtlemint has raised $30 Mn in Series D funding round led by GGV Capital while attracting investments from MassMutual Ventures, American Family Ventures and SIG.

Existing investors including Dream Incubator also participated in the round to raise $30M, with the total amount being $55Mn till date.

Turtlemint plans to use the fresh funding to develop its technology offering further and improve its business offerings.

The Mumbai-based startup works with over 100,000 insurance advisors, equipping them with digital tools enabling the advisors to provide more relevant recommendations for their end-consumers and while also cutting down on the onboarding process. It also serves as a direct broker for over 40 Indian insurance companies and generates revenue by charging them commission fees for policies it sells. The company claims to have over 1.5 Mn customers and is steadily growing.

Turtlemint will use the fresh funding to grow its network of advisors and improve its technology stack to further improve the experience for consumers, the company’s co-founder Anand Prabhudesai told TechCrunch.
